I've always been passionate about learning and residential spaces. As strange as it sounds, I loved scrawling down designs of houses, schools, and other spaces where people came together. Now, as a student affairs professional, I can't imagine a better place where my love for learning and my interest in residential spaces could come together. In May 2013, I graduated with my B.A. in Communication from Messiah College. In college, I discovered how exciting it is to live where you learn. I quickly realized that life's biggest and most important questions don't start and end in the classroom, rather they spill over into every part of your life.
What is it about Waco that you enjoy most?
I would have never imagined ending up in Waco, Texas, but I truly love it here! I love food, so it has been fun going all around Waco to discover the awesome restaurants. George's, Trujillo's, and Schmaltz's rank among my favorites.
What is your vision or your community?
I hope that Penland can be a place where students find belonging as they live and learn together.
Why do you choose to work at Baylor?
Baylor is simultaneously a large university with very high research activity while maintaining a Christian commitment.
