Why Return to On-Campus Housing?

There are many options available to you as an upper-division student at Baylor, and many benefits to choosing to living on-campus.

  • Friends. Get together with your friends! You can be roommates, neighbors, or hall mates.

  • Choice. You can select a specific room in the residence hall of your choice.
  • Convenience. Live in the heart of campus, close to classes, dining, and countless resources.

  • Success. Students who live on-campus typically earn better grades and graduate earlier than off-campus residents.

  • Flexibility. Graduating early? Studying abroad? We offer contract releases for these and other reasons with zero consequences.

How to Reapply

Reapplication is available to all current on-campus residents. There are three separate processes for reapplication. The reapplication process and timeline is based upon which housing option you choose.

General Upper-Division Space:

If you want to reapply for housing and move to a general upper-division space, including University Parks, Arbors, Fairmont, Gables, and limited space in Brooks Flats, you will need to access reapplication at the appropriate time, select a room, and sign the contract. On Tuesday, October 21, 2014 you will receive an email about how and when to reapply for housing and select your room. Access date and time is assigned according to your earned and current credit hours.

Roommates:

It is recommended that if you are doing self-selection for a general upper-division space, then the person with the earliest access date be the collector of the Roommate Pin so they can place the other student(s) in their bed space. In order to successfully complete roommate matching, you need to follow these four steps.

  1. Go to The Roommate Pin website to create a Roommate Pin.
  2. Provide this Roommate Pin to your future roommate(s).
  3. In the room selection process you will need to enter your roommate(s) Roommate Pin, signifying that you gave them permission to enter you into the room selection process.
  4. Both parties will need to complete the Contract Process by 4pm on Friday, November 21, 2014. A link via email will be provided during the process to sign the contract.
