What Can I Expect During My First Week on Campus?

Welcome Week

Welcome week is an exciting introduction to the Baylor experience. It takes place from move in through the first day of classes. Students will have the opportunity to participate in many university related activities during this four day period. New students are led in small groups by upper class students as they participate in these events. In these small groups, students are encouraged to build long lasting relationships as they begin their Baylor journey.

President's Picnic

The President welcomes you and your family to campus with a dinner on the Burleson Quadrangle Thursday evening. Your meal plans will begin on Friday.

One of the first Baylor traditions that you will take part in, the Welcome Week Convocation initiates the new class of Bears.

All Hall Meeting

Every hall has their own All Hall Meeting to kick off the new year. Look for time and location information from your residence hall staff during the first week.

First Day of Classes

It is a good idea to explore campus and find your classes before they start. Also, make sure that you print or write down several copies of your schedule. This will ensure that you are where you need to be, when you need to be there. Student schedules can be accessed through Bearweb.
