Dear Men and Women of Kokernot,
The Kokernot Staff would like to first and foremost welcome you to Baylor University, and more specifically, Kokernot Hall! As we build our community together this year, the Kokernot staff is committed to helping inspire you to fulfill your calling within our residence hall, at Baylor, and in life.
As the home to traditional freshmen as well as the Doing Justice and Hispanic Families in Transition Engaged Learning Groups, it is an exciting time to be part of the Kokernot community. Learning does not simply take place in the classroom, but in many different environments - an idea fully embraced at Kokernot. This mission is further realized in having our Faculty in Residence, Dr. Laine Scales, as an integral part of our residential community. Development and growth can be achieved in any life endeavor that one chooses to reflect upon. During your time here at Baylor, we encourage you to seek out your academic, character, and faith development in as many different venues and capacities as possible, especially the experiences in your new home at Kokernot!
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. shares, "Intelligence plus character – that is the true goal of education." The Kokernot staff looks forward to the privilege of being part of your all-encompassing education at Baylor.
Welcome to Kokernot!
Sincerely,
The Kokernot Staff
