Aug. 15-16 Move-In 2012 Begins. Residence halls and apartments open for fall semester (see Move2BU website for assigned Move-In times as they vary from hall to hall)

Oct. 12-13 Parents Weekend
Oct. 19 Fall Break - All residence halls and apartments open (see individual front desks for limited hour information)
Nov. 2-3 Homecoming Week
Nov. 21 Thanksgiving Break - Limited services available (see below)
Nov. 25 Thanksgiving Break - Standard in-session services begin at 1:00 p.m.
Dec. 3 Last day of classes
Dec. 4-5 Study days
Dec. 6-12 Final examinations
Dec. 13 Residence halls close at 6 p.m. for the semester for all non-graduating students. Graduating students may seek an extension to stay in residence no later than 2 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012.*

Spring 2013

Jan. 10 Residence halls open at 8 a.m. for the spring semester.
Special Note: Residence halls open for sorority recruitment at 9 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2013
Jan. 14 Class sessions begin
Jan. 21 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday
Mar. 8 Spring Break - Limited services available (see below)
Mar. 9-17 SPRING BREAK
Mar. 17 Standard in-session services begin in residence halls at 1:00 p.m. after Spring Break
Mar. 29-Apr. 1 Easter Holidays – All residence halls open
May 3 Last day of classes
May 6-7 Study days
May 8-14 Final examinations
May 15 Residence halls close at 6 p.m. for the semester for all non-graduating students. Graduating students may seek an extension to stay in residence no later than 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013.
May 17-18 Commencement

Residence Halls will remain open during Thanksgiving & Spring Break for students with a need to remain on campus, but will provide only limited, and in some cases, no services. Services that will NOT be available include residential restaurants (dining halls) and Residential Technology Services. Residence Hall Front Desk coverage will be limited. Residence halls will remain locked 24/7 with access available only to current residents of that particular living area who have a valid ID card. Baylor Police and Campus Living & Learning Safety & Security Education Officers will be monitoring the campus and living areas on their normal schedule.

* - The Arbors, Fairmont and Gables Apartments, Brooks Flats, and North Village Residential Community will remain open between the semester break (December 15, 2012 through January 10, 2013).
