Quadrangle

Quad
The quad is built on a north-south axis in a traditional Oxford-Cambridge style with an enclosed courtyard and one primary entry/exit to the College. Students daily walk through the quad on their way from their rooms to the Great Hall, Chapel, the Junior Common Room, or outside of the college. Bounded on four sides, this gardened space numbers among the most important "rooms" of the college, as a place equally amenable to formal gatherings, serendipitous encounters, cloistered solitude, and boisterous play.
