Kenneth Jones, Assistant Professor in History and Classics

Kenneth R. Jones (University of California, Berkeley: BA 1999, MA 2002, PhD 2006) specializes in ancient history. His research interests include the Roman Near East, Second Temple Judaism, and the early Church. He is currently working on a monograph studying the Jewish reaction to the Roman destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70. The work focuses on a number of Jewish apocalypses and related texts. Prof. Jones teaches Greek and Roman history in the History Department in addition to Latin and Roman Civilization in Classics.
