G. Hugh and Beverly C. Wamble Lecture 2011

The 2011 Annual Hugh and Beverly Wamble Religious Liberty Lecture will be held on Monday, May 2, 2011 at 1:30 in the HCB 510 (banquet room) with Dr. Kambiz GhaneaBassiri as visiting guest speaker.

 


Kambiz GhaneaBassiri (B.A., Claremont McKenna College, A.M. Harvard University, Ph.D. Ibid.) is an associate professor of religion and humanities at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. He is the author of A History of Islam in America (Cambridge University Press, 2010), along with Competing Visions of Islam in the United States: A Study of Los Angeles (1997). He has served on the editorial board of The Encyclopedia of Islam in the United States (2006) and the Encyclopedia of Muslim-American History (forthcoming).
