• Alleluia! Conference
The Alleluia Conference is an annual event that invites music ministers and pastors to worship, fellowship and learn together with their colleagues for four days in July. Nationally recognized speakers share from their various fields of expertise throughout the conference. Baylor University is proud to partner with, Jubilate!, Chorister's Guild, YouthCue, the Kyle Lake Center for Effective Preaching, and the Baptist General Convention of Texas for this event.

Colloquium on Baptist Church Music Papers
The Center for Christian Music Studies is proud to host a Symposium on Baptist Church Music. Scholars from across the United States and world will present papers on various topics related to Baptist church music.

• Hearn Innovators Series
The Hearn Innovators in Christian Music Series is designed to bring to the Baylor campus people who are thinking creatively and blazing new trails in the field of Christian Music. These people may be involved in the practice, creation, or study of church music. Presenters are on campus for a three to four day residency and are available to speak in classes, make public presentations and visit with students in small groups and one-on-one.

• Northcutt Lecture
Since its inception in 1985, The Northcutt Lecture Series has become an integral part of the academic and spiritual life of the Baylor University School of Music. Designed to bring nationally and internationally known church music scholars to Baylor University, The Northcutt Lecture is made possible by an endowment from LeGrande and Cassandra Northcutt of Longview, Texas. Previous lecturers include Donald Hustad, Harold Best, Marva Dawn, Paul Manz, Jane Marshall, Alice Parker, Robert Shaw, and Thomas Troeger.

• Sacred Harp Sing
Sacred Harp is religious folk music, which is sung from a unique shape-note songbook, The Sacred Harp, first published in 1844 by B. F. White and E. J. King. Sacred Harp singers produce a quality of sound, which is strangely compelling. Sung a cappella, the music is distinguished by its considerable use of the minor key and its unusual four-part harmony. Baylor is proud to host a Sacred Harp singing the Saturday before the Second Sunday each February.

• YouthCUE
YouthCue is an interdenominational organization which seeks to "radically impact the lives of youth" through the youth choir experience. This organization, founded in 1990 boasts over 30,000 active youth from all over the country. Each year youth choirs gather at various locations to participate in YouthCue festivals. Individual youth choirs learn a prescribed list of repertoire, then gather with other youth choirs from across the nation to sing together. These events maintain a high standard of excellence, while also creating an exciting outreach atmosphere for the involved youth.

• Kenya Mission Trip
For the past seven years, Baylor University has been involved in an ongoing initiative to take Baylor students, faculty and friends to Africa during the summer. In 2005 & 2007, The Center for Christian Music Studies partnered with University Ministries to offer students a renewed perspective about the world around them.
