Four chemists are among the 17 award winners announced this week by the National Academy of Sciences for outstanding scientific achievement. NAS will officially recognize the awardees on May 2 in Washington, D.C., during its 142nd annual meeting.
The 2005 keynote speaker during Scholars Day will be Dr. Carl Wieman, Nobel Laureate and Professor of Physics, JILA at the Universisty of Colorado at Boulder. He won the 2001 Nobel Prize in Physics for his work in Bose-Einstein Condensation. For more information, please click here.
