The CES occupies a portion of the Danza del Sol motel, a facility owned by the UAG. It is located on the north shore of Lake Chapala, in the village of Ajijic, approximately 30 miles south of Guadalajara, Jalisco. The CES is easily reached by air, auto, or bus. Each student outside of México will be individually advised as to travel arrangements, or we can take care of your air travel arrangements if you wish. Let us know! Nonstop air service to the Guadalajara International airport is maintained from many U. S. cities. Express 1st class busses serve Guadalajara from several border cities. You may drive to the CES from the U. S. with good highways from Nogales, Arizona, or Laredo, Texas (approximately 12 hrs). You must notify the Program Coordinator of travel plans and schedule so that you can be met at the appropriate station/terminal or if driving, provided with highway information.

Important-- Each non-Mexican student must bring proof of citizenship (passport or a certified or notarized birth certificate and a photographic identification such as a driver license) in order to enter México and to return to their home country. Those bringing their automobile must also bring proof of ownership. United States automobile insurance is not valid in México. Mexican automobile insurance must be purchased at the border before entering México. Do not drive in México without liability insurance as a minimum.

La EEC ocupa una porción del Motel La Floresta, localizado en la ribera norte del Lago de Chapala cercano a la villa de Ajijic, aproximadamente a 45 kilómetros al sur de Guadalajara, Jalisco. El transporte a la EEC puede ser por autobús, automóvil, o avión. Notifica al Coordinador del Programa de tus planes de viaje, para recogerte en la terminal o aeropuerto.
