Malaysia/Hong Kong Missions
In May 2012, Baylor's Church Music Department took their first mission trip to Malaysia and Hong Kong. The team of 11 students and 2 professors spent 10 days working alongside churches and Sabah Theological Seminary to perform collaborative concerts and provide instructional workshops on church music. The trip included a three day stay in a remote village found deep in the heart of the Malaysian Jungle, accessible only by boat. In Hong Kong, team worked with Kowloon City Baptist Church and met with prominent church musicians throughout the city. Plans are to return to Asia in the near future to build on the relationships forged during this trip.
