Building the Next Generation of Worship Leaders Conference
The Center for Christian Music Studies hosted the second Building the Next Generation Conference, September 27-29, 2012, on the Baylor University campus. Twenty-five scholars from across the United States made presentations and participated in discussions on the issues facing the future of undergraduate church music training. The goals of this conference were (1) to foster a sense of community among church music faculty; (2) to encourage faculty members who mostly serve as a one-person department; (3) to discover and discern ways to recruit more young people to serve the church through music; and (4) to share ideas and best practices. Included on this website are many of the presentations given at the conference, plus the worship services that opened both Friday and Saturday of the conference. Kenya Missions
