Dr. Tim Studstill has served churches as minister of music in both bi-vocational and full-time capacities in Alaska, Oklahoma, Kentucky and Texas as Minister of Music since 1978. He received degrees in music education at Oklahoma Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Studstill has been with the Church Music Department of the Baptist General Convention of Texas since 1997 and has served as the Director of its reorganized Music and Worship Ministry Team since 2003. He coordinates music and worship needs as well as training opportunities within the BGCT and often serves as an interim or guest minister of music. He is also a soloist and choral clinician with a special interest in children and senior adult choirs. Dr. Studstill also serves as the chairman of the annual "William J. Reynolds Sacred Harp Sing" on the Southwestern Baptist Seminary campus, is on the Executive Committee for the Baptist Church Music Conference, and serves on the Advisory Board for the Center for Christian Music Studies at Baylor University.
