For the past eight years, Baylor University has been involved in an ongoing initiative to take Baylor students, faculty and friends to Africa during the summer. In 2005, 2007, & 2011 The Center for Christian Music Studies partnered with University Ministries to offer students a renewed perspective about the world around them. In the summer of 2013, Dr. Randall Bradley will lead a fourth expedition to Kenya with the Baylor University Men's Choir. For more information on this trip and how you can support the group, please visit the Baylor University Men's Choir Website

The main purpose of these trips was to give, share, and receive aspects of community present in the African culture and faith. The trip gave participants rich educational opportunities to interact with the music and culture of another country. At the same time, participants were able to share their song with the people of Kenya.

In addition to sharing music and community, the team and Ministry partnered with schools, churches, and orphanages in Nairobi, Kenya, and the surrounding area. The partnerships involved giving concerts, leading in sporting tournaments for children, and participating in hands-on service projects to better some of the places. In addition, the Baylor music team delivered supplies to schools, churches, and orphanages. Click the links below to see pictures from their most recent trip in the summer of 2011.
