NASA/Texas Space Grant Consortium Fellowships
The NASA/Texas Space Grant Consortium Fellowships were established to encourage both graduate and undergraduate study in the fields of space science and engineering. Recruitment of women and underrepresented minority students is emphasized, in addition to interdisciplinary activities and integrated work experience.

Stipends

Graduate Fellowship awards of five thousand dollars ($5000) are available for graduate students studying within any of the research fields represented within the Center. These awards supplement the base graduate support provided by Baylor University. In addition, two undergraduate scholarship awards in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500) are available to outstanding undergraduates.

Duration

Both fellowship awards are for one year. The graduate fellowship may be renewed for a maximum of three years, providing the recipient has spent no more than two of those years as a master's candidate.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

Applicants must be citizens of the United States and must be registered for full-time studies in either the graduate or undergraduate program at Baylor University. To be eligible for a Graduate Fellowship, the student must already be promised support by the Baylor Physics Department and must not have exceeded the time limit described under the duration section above.

Both undergraduate scholarships as well as Graduate Fellowships are awarded on a competitive basis with consideration of grade point average (GPA), Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score, minority status, interest in space, and recommendations from the applicant's institution.

Deadline

Both Graduate Fellowship and Undergraduate Scholarship applications are normally due around the first of February. For more information or application forms, please contact Truell_Hyde@Baylor.edu.
