Student Records Policies

Release of Information

Family Education Right and Privacy Act (FERPA) generally prohibits information released from financial and educational records without the student's consent except in a limited number of circumstances.

To submit a consent to Release Information form, go to BearWeb> Student & Financial Aid> Student Records>Add New Release Information Form and enter the requested information to give Baylor consent to discuss the student's account with the designated person.

Per federal regulations, if a parent uses tax information to help a dependent, Baylor is allowed to share financial information with that particular parent.
