Student Payment Policies

Cashier's Office Financial Settlement of Registration Expenses

• The entire bill or the minimum amount due shown on the bill must be received to complete financial settlement for the semester prior to the due date to avoid late fees and cancellation of your class schedule. The due date for Spring 10 is December 21, 2009. Payment must be received in the Cashier's Office to avoid the late fee.
• If you registered prior to the cutoff date, a semester bill will be sent to your home address or an alternate address if selected and your e-bill will be presented for viewing.
• Provide verification of outside scholarships to the Cashier's Office by completing the Outside Scholarship Report form so that such information is included in your financial aid award package.
• Payment must be received by the due date for the semester. The due date for Spring 10 is December 21, 2009.

Online Payments

• Pay with Check
  Online payment via the web from your checking or savings account. Baylor student ID# and PIN required. To access this option, choose Student and Financial Aid and then Cashier.
• Pay with Credit Card
  MasterCard, American Express, and Discover available via the web only. A 2.75% (minimum of $3.00) convenience fee will be assessed by the third-party web processor. Baylor student ID# and either the PIN or date of birth required.

If you do not owe a balance:

You must still notify our office you will be attending by
• Logging onto BearWeb , choose Student and Financial Aid, then Cashier, and Confirm Attendance.
  
• Returning the top portion of your semester bill.
  

If you did not register before the semester bill cutoff date:

• A semester bill will not be mailed but your e-bill will be presented. Watch your Baylor email for notification.
• Access your ebill, check your account on BearWeb (Billing account summary) or contact the Cashier's Office regarding your balance
• Financial Settlement must be completed for Spring 10 by December 21, 2009.

Late Fees Based on the Following Schedule:

Student Financial Aid

• Students needing financial assistance should contact the Office of Academic Scholarships and Financial Aid, One Bear Place #97028, Waco, TX 76798-7028.
• Students who are recipients of scholarships from religious institutions, foundations, corporations, individuals, or other organizations outside the University should arrange with their donors to have checks sent to the Cashier's Office.
• The Office of Academic Scholarships and Financial Aid will assist students in obtaining loans if needed.
• Students must meet the following financial aid deadlines to ensure the availability of funds by the time payment is due.
  
  Fall and spring semesters March 1
  Spring semester only October 1

• Students who file their applications after the deadlines should be prepared to pay their expenses. If eligible for aid, they will be reimbursed at a later time.

Miscellaneous Expenses Incurred after Financial Settlement

• Health Center charges, library fines, traffic fines & miscellaneous expenses incurred throughout the semester will be billed on a monthly basis to the student's Baylor email account and to all valid authorized users' email accounts.
• Payment in full is expected upon receipt.

Instructions to Wire Transfer payments

• If you would like to make a payment to a student account via wire transfer, please call or email our office for wiring instructions.
• For prompt and accurate handling, you must include your student's name and student id number.

Withdrawals or Dropped Courses

• When students withdraw or drop a course, refunds of tuition and fees will be computed on a decreasing scale in accordance with the refund schedule found on the Cashier's Office website.
• Withdrawals must be made through the office of the Assistant Vice President for the Baylor Success Center.
• Any refunds due from a withdrawal must be processed through Student Financial Aid. Allow up to 4 weeks for processing.
