Overview:
Intramural Sport's one-day track and field event will pit Baylor's faster runners (not on the varsity track team) against each other in some of the most exciting track and field events. Each organization/team is allowed three (3) entries into each individual event, but only one (1) entry into each relay. Each individual runner may only compete in three (3) events.

Women will run events first, followed by men in the same event.�

Event Description:

  • Each team is attempting to accumulate the most points after competing in all activities: The organization that accumulates the most points during the meet will be named Baylor Intramural Track and Field Champions.
  • Relay teams should list four (4) runners and two (2) alternates.
  • Any four (4) of the six (6) listed may run in the event.
  • In Shot Put and Long Jump, the qualifying and final trials are the same. Each contestant has three (3) attempts and only the best attempt counts towards placement.
    • If two people tie for best throw/jump, the second best is used to determine winner
  • In each preliminary running event, the top eight (8) fastest times will advance to the finals
  • If not enough individuals enter a specific event, prelims may be bypassed

Points System:

  • Each event will award participants/teams with first through eighth place:
    • 1st place = 10 points/event
    • 2nd place = 8
    • 3rd place = 6
    • 4th place = 5
    • 5th place = 4
    • 6th place = 3
    • 7th place = 2
    • 8th = 1
  • Each Relay will award:
    • 1st place = 20 points/event
    • 2nd place = 16
    • 3rd place = 12
    • 4th place = 10
    • 5th place = 8
    • 6th place = 6
    • 7th place = 4
    • 8th = 2
  • The organization that accumulates the most points during the day will be named the Baylor Track and Field Champions.��
  • The top three teams from the men and women's divisions will also awards.
