Where Character Meets Competition
Intramural sports are an integral part of campus life at Baylor.
They help build community amongst a diverse population of students through a culture of inclusiveness and encouragement. We strive to provide an environment where all Baylor students are welcomed and challenged to grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually.
The Intramural Sports program is committed to encouraging good sportsmanship and fair play, providing trained staff, and helping to maintain a safe environment for the activities we provide.
The vision of the Intramural Sports program is to provide students with a variety of recreational opportunities that allow them to become engaged in healthy competition while developing and maintaining character, integrity, and sportsmanship.
Developing character through intramural participation is a key component of the Intramural philosophy at Baylor. It is our belief that students who compete in intramural activities should exemplify Christ through the decisions they make during competition. In each contest, students are expected to display self-control and demonstrate good sportsmanship regardless of a call or the outcome of the game.
Baylor Intramural Sports is committed to the implementation of sound sportsmanship polices rooted in the values of fair play and moral integrity. We encourage students to show the world that even in the heat of competition, Godly character, good sportsmanship and good decision making can be maintained.
