Track Meet Events

4X100M Relay

  • A team of four (4) individuals will run 100M each, before passing a baton to the next team member.
    • Baton exchanges must take place in designated area or team will be disqualified
    • Teams must stay in designated lane
  • Two (2) relay teams maximum per organization
  • Relay teams should list four (4) runners and two (2) alternates.
  • Any four (4) of the six (6) listed may run in the event.

800M Run

  • Individuals will run 800M
    • Individual lanes will be assigned at the start, depending on the # of entrants. A waterfall start may be used
  • Three (3) runners maximum per organization

400M Sprint

  • Individual runs will run 400M
    • Individual lanes will be assigned
    • Runners must stay in assigned lane the entire race
  • Three (3) runners maximum per organization
  • Eight (8) runners will compete per heat

200M Sprint

  • Individuals will run 200M
    • Individual lanes will be assigned
    • Runners must stay in assigned lane the entire race
  • Three (3) runners maximum per organization

100M Sprint

  • Individuals will run 100M
    • Individual lanes will be assigned
    • Runners must stay in assigned lane the entire race
  • Three (3) runners maximum per organization

1600M Run

  • Individuals will run 1600M (1 mile); individual lanes will not be assigned, waterfall start will be used
  • Three (3) runners maximum per organization

4X400M Relay

  • A team of four (4) individuals will run 400M each, before passing a baton to the next team member.
    • Baton exchanges must take place in designated area or team will be disqualified
    • Teams must stay in designated lane
  • Three (3) relay teams maximum per organization
  • Relay teams should list four (4) runners and two (2) alternates.
    • Any four (4) of the six (6) listed may run in the event.

Long Jump

  • Each individual will be granted three (3) jumps to try and attain the longest possible jump
    • An attempt will be considered a jump if: a. a full jump is completed, b. a jumper scratches
    • Once an approach to the pit is started, a jumper may decide to stop before jumping/scratching; however, a jumper may do this only once per attempt
  • The top jumper after three attempts is deemed the winner
    • If two people attain the same jump length, their second best jumps will be used to determine the winner

Shot Put

  • Each individual will be granted three (3) throws to try and attain the longest possible throw
    • An attempt will be considered a throw if: a. a full throw is completed, b. a thrower scratches
    • Once a throw attempt begins, a thrower may decide to stop before throwing/scratching; however, a thrower may do this only once per attempt
  • The top thrower after three attempts is deemed the winner
    • If two people attain the same throw distance, their second best throws will be used to determine the winner
  • Weights for shots being used: men's 12lbs and women's 8.81lbs
