HSBO Audition Excerpts and Etudes

The following excerpts are required for all students attending the High School Band and Orchestra Camp, June 10-16. Auditions will take place on Sunday, June 10 between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM (concurrent with registration). In addition to the materials below, campers might also be asked to play scales and sightread during the audition

String Audition Materials

String performers are to prepare a solo, 3-5 minutes in length, that best represents your playing ability. You may also be asked to sight read.

Wind and Percussion Audition Materials

Wind and percussion performers are to prepare the following etude(s) and/or excerpts. Each link contains an instruction sheet explaning the audition material.

Trombonists, please note that there are separate excerpts for tenor and bass trombone.
