Step 1: Start Your Application

  • Create a student profile in GoBAYLOR Grad to start an application to the MBA program. Approval for admission to the MBA program is given by the Associate Dean for Graduate Business Programs with the support of the Dean of the Graduate School. Qualified MBA candidates will be admitted regardless of race, color, national or ethnic origin, gender, age, or disability.

Step 2: Submit Materials

Personal essays are an opportunity to express your unique qualifications, experiences and reasons for applying to the MBA program. Prepare your essays carefully, using details and specific examples to describe your distinctive qualities.

Essay 1: In 200 words or less briefly describe why Baylor is the right partner in helping you meet your educational needs and career goals?

Essay 2: In 500 words or less discuss a situation in the workplace when you had to make a difficult ethical decision or choice. What drove you to make that particular choice?

A current resume is requested, specifically describing those activities, honors, or awards that you believe helpful to ensuring success in the MBA program.

Professional recommendations are preferred. In the application, you will provide the name and email address for two references. Each reference will be sent an email message with a link directing him to a web page allowing him to submit your recommendation by either uploading a file or by entering text into a form.

A bachelors degree from an accredited institution in the United States, or proof of equivalent training at a foreign university, is required. The transcript from your graduating institution must show proof of degree.

If you earned an undergraduate degree from Baylor, you do not need to request transcripts.

NOTE: Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for the evaluation process. If the Business School recommends approval, official transcripts will be required before your admission is complete.

Send official transcripts to the Graduate School.

Either the GMAT or GRE is required for applications to the full-time MBA program. There is no minimum GMAT or GRE score requirement. NOTE: Unofficial copies of the test scores are acceptable for the evaluation process.

A $50 non-refundable fee, payable by credit card or check, is required to process your application.

Fee Waiver - The Business School waives the $50 application fee for all active or veteran military personnel who apply for the full-time MBA program. When you are ready to submit your application send an email to Scot Sanders, assistant director for MBA admissions, to request the application fee waiver.

Step 3: Schedule Interivew

We encourage all applicants to come to campus for the interview, so you can see the Business School and determine if Baylor is the right place for you. If you are not able to travel to campus, you can arrange to interview by phone or Skype Scheduling Calendar
