Baylor Faculty Facilitate Excellence in Sales and Service

Dr. Andrea L. Dixon, executive director of the Keller Center for Research and the Center for Professional Selling and an associate professor in the Hankamer School of Business, Baylor University, has joined the advisory council of Service 360 Partners. As an advisor, Professor Dixon will ensure that the company relies on the latest insights into how to effectively manage client relationships and service excellence.

"We were seeking partners to help us to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical challenges. Professor Dixon brings a rare combination of professional experience, practical research, and excellence in teaching that is going to enable us to do this. Her expertise in selling and key account management is particularly intriguing to us because it fits within our expanded definition of service." said Lance Bettencourt, Co-founder and Partner of Service 360 Partners.

Holding an endowed professorship, Dr. Dixon provides academic leadership for Baylor University's Center for Professional Selling and the Keller Center for Research. Her research on behavioral issues related to sales success, service and customer satisfaction has been published in numerous prestigious journals, including Journal of Marketing, Harvard Business Review, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and the Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management. She has also received numerous teaching awards, including the international Academy of Marketing Science's Marketing Teacher Award in 2008.

Each of her areas of expertise will be brought to bear in partnership with Service 360 Partners. In addition to advising, she will occasionally bring her expertise and teaching excellence to bear in leading Service 360 Partners training workshops and supporting specific company engagements. Collaboration with Service 360 Partners will also open up unique research opportunities and will certainly result in unique insights that she will bring back to the classroom at Hankamer.
