The book is scheduled to be released on Feb. 11, 2011 but is currently available for preorder on Amazon. Reyes serves as the Director of Baylor's Center for Excellence in Supply Chain Management.

In the forward of his book, Reyes writes, "I begin most of my professional talks by saying, 'RFID has for the most part, been flying below the business innovations radar.'"

According to the editorial review by publisher, McGraw-Hill, "RFID in the Supply Chain offers expert insight to help you decide whether, when and how to use RFID technology to improve supply chain management process."

Reyes includes examples of successful RFID implementation from companies like Gillette, Rewe Group and Walter Reed Army Medical Center to demonstrate the advantages and limitations of RFID, improved supply chain visibility, and designing RFID applications.

Reyes is recognized as one of the world's foremost authorities on RFID technology. His research has been published in several industry related journals, including: International Journal of Integrated Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, and Journal of Supply Chain Management. He has given multiple presentations on the topic both domestic and abroad. In addition, Reyes hosts an annual symposium on RFID at Baylor.
