Baylor MBA Student Places First in Sony Case Competition
April 1, 2010By Chad Shanks
Baylor MBA student Raef Wyatt was part of the team that placed first at Texas Christian University's Neeley Sales and Marketing Strategy Case Competition sponsored by Sony.
Wyatt worked with students from Texas Christian University, Southern Methodist University, Howard University and the University of Wisconsin to select a target market, segment that market and then deliver a cost effective marketing strategy for the Sony Bloggie, a new product akin to a Flip camera.
Teams of five are randomly assigned from the pool of students attending the competition from more than 20 business schools across the country.
Wyatt's team was awarded the grand prize of $6,000 by a panel of judges from Sony's senior sales and marketing executives.
