Hankamer Alumni Magazine and Accounting Annual Report Earn First Place in Best of Texas Awards ProgramMarch 11, 2008
The Texas Public Relations Association (TPRA) highlighted the state's top PR campaigns and practitioners recently, recognizing Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business in its Best of Texas awards program with two Silver (first place) designations. The School's alumni magazine, Baylor Business Review , as well as its Department of Accounting & Business Law Annual Report, each earned a top prize in the competition.
According to the TPRA website, the "Best of Texas Awards recognize outstanding achievement using individual communications tools in support of specific public relations objectives. A winning Best of Texas entry demonstrates superior use of the communications tool employed and documents that the rationale and execution led to desired results in support of a specific public relations objective."
The winning entries are the work of the Communications & Marketing department, in conjunction with other departments at the Business School, and design firm Pollei DesignWorks.
The 2008 Best of Texas Awards is sponsored by TPRA and the Austin, Central Texas, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio chapters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). It is the only statewide public relations contest in Texas.
TPRA is the only statewide organization in Texas for accredited public relations professionals and has a higher percentage of accredited members than any other communications trade association.
