Top National Policy Think Tank Founder to Speak in Classes

Iota Sigma is hosting a presentation by Fred

Smith, founder and president of Competitive

Enterprise Institute, Washington, DC, on the topic of "Risk Management and

Public Policy."

Smith will make this presentation twice: from 11 a.m. - 12:20 p.m. in Cashion 410 and from 12:30 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. in Cashion 307. All interested students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend either of these presentations

Smith combines intellectual and strategic analysis of complex policy issues ranging from the environment to corporate governance with an informative and entertaining presentation style. He is also a frequent guest on national television and radio programs to discuss and debate regulatory initiatives and topical policy issues. Providing both analytical and political insights, he has appeared on CNN's "Crossfire," PBS's "News Hour with Jim Lehrer" and "Now with Bill Moyers," ABC's "20/20" and "This Week," NPR's "Talk of the Nation" and "The Diane Rehm Show," and "The G. Gordon Liddy Show," among many others.
