FastTrac Entrepreneurs to Graduate from NewVenture ProgramApril 12, 2006

A group of entrepreneurs from the FastTrac NewVenture Program will be honored at a graduation scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, at Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business. The ceremony and reception will recognize the 20th class to graduate from the program.
Scott Patterson, President of Texas Urban Enterprises, Inc. and Baylor University alumnus, will serve as the keynote speaker. Founded by Patterson in 1984, Texas Urban Enterprises, Inc. specializes in residential and construction make-ready cleaning, and commercial janitorial service. The company later expanded to include the janitorial and property management companies of Southwest Supply and Custom Building Services.
FastTrac NewVenture graduates to be honored are:

Mary Rasner - Helping Hands Educational Center

Concherra Woolfolk - Ms. Cherra's Learning Place
FastTrac consists of two programs. FastTrac NewVenture allows for aspiring entrepreneurs to test the viability of a business idea through developing a success plan. FastTrac GrowthVenture supports practicing entrepreneurs and small business owners. The program offers a potential growth plan and blueprint for business success.
The comprehensive, pragmatic programs develop leadership skills, business insight and professional networking connections for entrepreneurs as they turn business ideas into operational realities.
"It is imperative that entrepreneurs conduct extensive research and complete a plan before starting a new venture," said Mary Abrahams, Assistant Director of the John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship. "By completing the FastTrac program, these graduates are on the road toward successful ventures."
The FastTrac Entrepreneurship Training Program is co-sponsored by the John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship, the City of Waco and the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce.
