Dr. Christophe Fournier, a professor at the University of Montpellier II in France, is currently visiting Baylor University to conduct research with Dr. John F. Tanner Jr., a Professor of Marketing at Baylor University.
Fournier teaches on both undergraduate and graduate levels at Montpellier II. Several topics that he covers are introduction to marketing, direct marketing and sales force management.
Fournier said that this is his third time to visit Baylor, and usually he stays here for two or three weeks working on their research.
Currently, Fournier and Tanner are working on two different studies. The first is about salespeople's anxiety about performing or reaching quota on the job, and what impact that might have on their ethical behavior, sales performance, and job satisfaction.
Tanner said that the second study is dealing with customer relationship management (CRM) and "whether the software used for CRM empowers salespeople or provides management with tighter control of salespeople."
