Allen Elected Chair of Board for Executive MBA CouncilJuly 12, 2005
Jana Allen, director of Baylor University's Executive MBA Program in Dallas, has been elected to serve as the next Chair of the Executive Council Board of Trustees for the Executive MBA Council.
"I look forward to working with my colleagues from other Executive MBA Programs throughout the world on initiatives that strengthen all our programs and further the council's mission to educate, network, and inform," says Allen. "As chair, my goal is to lead the development and implementation of strategies that improve and enhance executive education globally. I'm honored to be elected to this leadership role."
The Executive MBA Council fosters excellence and innovation worldwide in Executive MBA Programs. The council provides a place for programs to share best practices and gathers data that helps members improve their programs and that reveals the value of Executive MBA Programs to business leaders and their organizations. Allen has been active in the council for several years; she served as co-chair of the 2003 Executive MBA Council Conference and was elected to the board in 2003. She currently is co-chair of the 2005 Executive MBA Council Conference, scheduled for Oct. 30-Nov. 2 in Barcelona, Spain. Allen will assume her role as Executive MBA Council chair at the Barcelona conference, in addition to her current role as director of Baylor's Dallas EMBA program.
