Palich Named to Professorship

Sept. 6, 2004

Dr. Leslie Palich has been named as the recipient of the Ben H. Williams Professorship in Entrepreneurship.

"Les is richly deserving of this position.  He has already been serving as Associate Director of the Entrepreneurship program, and in that role has been key to our continued development and enhancement of that important area," said Kendall Artz, professor and chair of the Management & Entrepreneurship department.  "He is also an excellent teacher and a highly respected researcher whose work regularly appears in the top management and entrepreneurship journals."

Palich's research focus is on the international dimension of entrepreneurship and strategic management, including subjects such as the impact of corruption on entrepreneurial activity across nations, the risk-taking behavior of entrepreneurs and international diversification and enterprise performance.

His work is published in many journals, including Journal of Business Venturing, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies and Journal of Management. Palich is a member of the editorial review board of Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and the Journal of High Technology Management.
