Baylor's Maness Elected to AACSB International Board of DirectorsApril 22, 2016
Dean Terry S. Maness of Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International. Maness was elected to a three-year term, beginning July 1, 2016.
“We are pleased that the membership has elected Terry Maness to serve on AACSB’s Board of Directors. In addition to Terry’s notable experience as dean, he has served as a mentor, peer review team member, and team chair for a number of business schools—from around the world—who have sought AACSB accreditation,” said Thomas R. Robinson, president and CEO of AACSB International. “His dedication to improving business education globally is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to Terry’s valuable insight, knowledge, and expertise in the years to come.”
AACSB International advances quality management education worldwide through accreditation, thought leadership and value-added services. Fewer than 5 percent of business schools have the prestigious AACSB accreditation.
“I have enjoyed and benefited immensely from my experience in working with AACSB as a volunteer. I especially appreciate the association’s focus on high quality education in an environment of continuous improvement,” said Maness.
Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business achieved provisional associate membership in AACSB in 1950. It achieved full accreditation and membership in 1959.
