Baylor’s Executive MBA Program in Austin Launches Healthcare ConcentrationApril 2, 2014
WACO, Texas (April 2, 2014) - The Baylor Executive MBA program in Austin has announced the expansion of its curriculum to include a healthcare concentration option – one of the first of its kind in Austin. Applications are now being accepted for Fall 2014.
Designed for high-achieving, working professionals, the Executive MBA-Healthcare Program focuses on building business acumen while also instilling specific healthcare expertise that is vital to development as an executive leader in healthcare.
The Executive MBA Healthcare Program combines rigor and relevance to equip working healthcare professionals for the challenges ahead. The program is offered through the distinctive Robbins Institute for Health Policy and Leadership within Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business. The Institute serves as the foundation for all healthcare-related initiatives in the Business School.
Students in the healthcare concentration will have a portion of their classes focused solely on the unique aspects of the healthcare industry. Professionals in this concentration will have dedicated classes in topics including healthcare law, healthcare operations, and contemporary topics in healthcare. Students also benefit from a focus on healthcare information systems and healthcare economics.
The 21-month Executive MBA curriculum is delivered in a cohort format, two evenings a week, which allows professionals to balance the demands of working full-time while completing an MBA. The Baylor Austin Campus is located near the intersection of Parmer Lane and North Mopac, which is easily accessible from Austin and surrounding areas. Courses in the Executive MBA program are taught by Baylor’s dedicated and accessible faculty as well as Healthcare Executives.
