Texas Business Hall of Fame Awards Scholarship to Baylor University MBA CandidateNov. 19, 2012
The Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation recently awarded 19 $10,000 scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students focusing on entrepreneurship studies at Texas universities. The awards were presented at a luncheon in their honor at the Hilton Americas Hotel in Houston. The foundation annually awards one scholarship at each of the program's current 19 participating Texas universities. This year, Jeffrey M. Bischoff represented Baylor University. On the same evening, the scholars were presented at a gala for 900 attendees, who also witnessed the induction of five Texas Legends into the Texas Business Hall of Fame. These included Donald Adam, College Station; Frank A. Bennack, Jr., San Antonio; Douglas L. Foshee, Houston; John L Nau, III, Houston and Todd Wagner, Dallas.
"The gala was the most extravagant event I have ever personally attended, Bischoff said. "The businessmen and women in attendance were outstanding men and women full of knowledge and advice to help entrepreneurs. I plan to use the scholarship to continually invest in my own business, Bear Nutrition, which a good friend of mine and myself opened January 2012."
Jeffrey M. Bischoff attended Baylor University during his undergrad and received a bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in Applied Mathematics. He is currently completing his MBA, specializing in Entrepreneurship, at Baylor University. Jeff has recently started his own successful business, Bear Nutrition, in Waco, Texas, near Baylor's campus. Jeff's honors at Baylor have included Beta Gamma Sigma, Delta Epsilon Iota, Vice President of Net Impact, and a volunteer for the Prison Entrepreneurship Program.
