Congratulations to the top three winning teams of the Dale P. Jones Business Ethics Forum's Cyber Scenario. The first place team, winning $1,000, consists of Matthew Chance, Zach Chance and Brandon Stowers. The second place team, winning $400, consists of Anna Flagg, Caroline Maddox, Amy Smith and Christine Strake. The third place team, winning $100, consists of David Hayes, Drew Waggoner, Brett White and Chao Yang.
"I thought this competition would fit well with this technologically savvy and media-oriented generation," said Dr. Mitchell Neubert, Chavanne Chair of Christian Ethics in Business. "This is a fun way to communicate the importance of ethics in a form that students will enjoy."
The business school competition, in conjunction with Bluefish TV and the Film and Digital Media Division of the Department of Communication Studies, aided students to use their own moral principles in cyberspace. Each team was required to produce a short video capturing the ethical challenges related to aspects of management information systems.
"Not only is this is a great learning experience for students, but it provides participants with an interesting bullet for their resumes and offers the potential of a cash award," said Neubert.
Checks for the first and second place teams will be presented to winners by Dean Maness Thursday, November 17 at 7:00 p.m. in Kayser Auditorium just before the keynote speaker Chuck Gallagher.
