Sept. 21, 2009By Becca Broaddus
Patagonia, an environmentally-conscious outdoor sportswear company, was named Baylor University's MBA Focus Firm 2009 company.
Focus Firm is an annual graduate business class that gives students real-world consulting experience. The class will work with Patagonia to research specific company-mandated projects and develop team responses.
"Baylor MBA students are very excited to work with Patagonia this semester," Director of Graduate Business Degree Programs Laurie Wilson said.
The students held a video conference last week with Patagonia representatives to discuss details and expectations of the project. Students will work directly with Patagonia environmental analysts over the 15-week project.
"The company's environmental mission provides the opportunity for students to apply their research and analytical skills in an area of extreme interest to them," Wilson said.
