Sungard Sponsors 1st Annual MIS Tailgate

Baylor's MIS program hosted its first annual MIS Tailgate Party on Saturday, 10/24/09, immediately preceding the Homecoming Football Game. Sponsored by Sungard Consulting, the purpose of the tailgate was to stimulate interest in technology careers. More than 400 pre-business students attended the tailgate along with MIS majors, computer science students and faculty.

Despite a troubled economy, technology careers are some of the fastest growing. In fact, the U.S. Bureau and Labor statistics predicts that technology related careers will continue to be the fastest growing area between now and 2016.
