Michael A. Kamins is Area Head and Professor of Marketing at the College of Business, Stony Brook University. He earned his PHD from New York University in 1984 and worked at the University of Southern California from 1984-2008. He has published over 50 manuscripts in journals such as the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Consumer Psychology, the Journal of Marketing Research, the Journal of Marketing and the Strategic Management Journal.
His research interests include celebrity advertising, market leadership and pioneership, price bundling and internet bidding behavior. Dr. Kamins has also worked as an expert witness in a number of cases including those involving notable individuals such as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Muhammad Ali, Bill Medley and the Doors.
