Randall L. (Randy) Rose

Randall L. (Randy) Rose joined the University of South Carolina's Moore School of Business faculty in 1986 after receiving his Ph.D. in marketing from The Ohio State University that same year. He also earned a BA in Anthropology and an MBA from the University of Tennessee.

Dr. Rose's research on comparative advertising and various consumer welfare issues such as credit card practices and illicit consumption has been published in journals such as the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Marketing Research, the Journal of Advertising, the Journal of Retailing, and the Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, among others. He currently serves on the Editorial Review Boards of the Journal of Consumer Research and the Journal of Public Policy and Marketing.

Current research interests include several topics relevant to transformative consumer research including sharing as an alternative to traditional ownership practices and consumer financial decision-making.
