Simone Pettigrew
Simone Pettigrew is Professor of Marketing at the University of Western Australia's Business School. Her primary research interest is consumer education and empowerment, particularly in the areas of physical and mental health. Her research has focused on vulnerable populations such as children, the elderly, and low income families. She is the founder and editor of the Journal of Research for Consumers (www.jrconsumers.com), a web-based journal that caters to both academic and consumer audiences.
Simone has won numerous competitive grants from Australian and international funding organizations and she is a regular reviewer for the Australian Research Council. She has published more than 100 articles, book chapters, and refereed conference papers. Her work has featured in a variety of journals including Marketing Theory, Annals of Tourism Research, Pediatric Exercise Science, Food Quality and Preference, Aging and Mental Health, and Australian Psychologist. She is also a co-author of the top-selling Australasian text book Consumer Behaviour: Implications for Marketing Strategy.
