Texas Business Hall of Fame Scholarship Awarded to Brianne Bidwell

Connect w Student - BidwellThe Texas Business Hall of Fame has named Baylor MBA Brianne Bidwell as a scholarship recipient for 2011.

Scholarship recipients are recognized for leadership, entrepreneurial achievement, good academic credentials, and outstanding moral character.

The scholarship award of $10,000 will be awarded to Bidwell and the other recipients at the annual awards ceremony on
Nov. 17 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas.

"I cannot describe my great appreciation for being the 2011 Baylor recipient of the Texas Business Hall of Fame Scholarship. It means everything to me, and I cannot wait to dive into my career to help build its reputation to the utmost," Bidwell said. "I will do my best to honor it and Baylor University throughout my career and look for opportunities to strengthen their effects."

Bidwell plans to use the scholarship to pay for her education. Bidwell is currently interning at
H-E-B and is an independent consultant with Mary Kay cosmetics.

"Brianne excels in both the classroom and with extracurricular activities," said Jenna Kinkeade, assistant director for MBA Student Services. "She shows great leadership among her peers in group projects and with her work as President of the GBA. She is self-motivated, respectful and a drive to make others and herself better."

The Texas Business Hall of Fame awards scholarships annually to students from participating Texas universities.

The Foundation's mission is to sow seeds for our future by acknowledging and helping underwrite the promise that is being demonstrated by Texas business students. They accomplish this by assisting future business leaders pursuing their degrees in Texas schools by funding a scholarship award program.
