June 21, 2009
During the Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC) annual industry conference in June, Baylor's MBA program received one of the TeamMBA awards for its commitment to social responsibility. Baylor won the award for collaborative effort based on its MBA students' participation in the Prison Entrepreneurship Program (PEP).
More than 48 MBA programs were nominated for the TeamMBA Awards. Baylor was one of six MBA programs recognized during the awards presentation at the conference, which featured a video that highlighted the Baylor students' efforts in working with prisoners in the PEP. Baylor MBA students are matched with one PEP participant each semester and spend one hour each week providing feedback to the PEP participant on his business plan.
