Things To Do Before You Graduate

Business School Hooding Ceremony

MAcc/MTax Ceremony: 9:30am
MBA, MSEco, and MSIS Ceremony: 11:00am

The Hooding Ceremony should last about an hour.
Graduates will need to line up in Foster 143/144 15 minutes prior to their ceremony start time.

  1. File for Graduation
    In the first week of your graduating semester, you must submit a Graduating Student Form so the Graduate School can certify your graduation.
  2. Confirm Commencement Attendance. Baylor assumes all graduates will walk in the commencement ceremony. If you are unable to attend, notify the Registrar's Office by completing the Non-participation Form. If you submit the Non-participation Form, your diploma will be mailed to you after the ceremony.
  3. Confirm Hooding Ceremony Attendance and Provide Information. See forms below. The Business School will host a Hooding Ceremony and reception to present you with your master's hood.
  4. Attend Evaluation Meeting (MBA Only)

    During your graduating semester, you will meet with the Associate Dean for Graduate Business Program to share your impressions of your experience at Baylor. All MBA students will also complete the online EBI survey, which helps Baylor benchmark its MBA program with other top business schools.

  5. Purchase Cap and Gown

    Graduates wear traditional academic dress which you may purchase at the Baylor Bookstore on campus. Master's degree regalia includes a cap, gown, tassel, and hood. The color of the hood is "drab" (tan).
