William Cukierski is a data scientist at Kaggle, the leading platform for predictive modeling competitions and one of Fast Company's top ten innovative companies in big data. He consults on applied machine learning and data analytics for numerous Fortune 100 companies, non-profits, and research groups.
William has a bachelor's degree in physics from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Rutgers University, where he published on applications of machine learning to cancer research. Prior to joining Kaggle, he was a top finisher in challenges ranging from predicting stock movements, to forecasting consumer spending, to automated essay grading. He is a chair of the KDD Cup and regularly speaks on topics in data science.
