Free Enterprise at the Baugh Center

The field of entrepreneurship has generally assumed that free markets exist. As a result, the increasing role of regulatory policy in many industries has been neglected in research to date. We seek to bring to the forefront what entrepreneurs are expressing as their greatest concern for the survival and growth of their businesses - taxes and regulation (NFIB, 2016).

With our new Ph.D. program in place, research funding for relevant topics, and symposiums placed in top journals recently, we are having a growing impact on academic research related to policy issues that affect entrepreneurs and economic freedom.
