Here's a link to a website giving directions to the Baylor Business School: http://business.baylor.edu/RESOURCE/Hankamer_map.htm
Our class meets in Kayser Auditorium which is located in the very center of the business school building. If necessary, we'll send someone out looking for you holding a sign with your name on it. Just let us know.
BUS 1301, "Business, the Economy, & World Affairs", meets from 9:30-10:45 a.m. and again from 11:00-12:15 p.m. There are two sections of approximately 250 students each. Thus, you will speak to almost 500 students.
The students are approximately 65% freshmen, 25% sophomore, and 10% transfer (junior-ish). This is an introductory business class so assume a basic audience.
FaceTime begins 30 minutes into each class so expect to "take the stage" at 10 a.m. and again at 11:30 a.m. FaceTime lasts for only 20 minutes and our standard format is 10 minutes of presentation and 10 minutes of Q&A. It's short and never boring!
We have almost every sort of presentation technology you could need. We can go to the web, show videos, set up PowerPoint presentations, and even poll our class during your presentation. Just let us know what you need. Be careful not to over-prepare! Most guests bring only 5-10 presentation slides (if they do this at all).
IMPORTANT NOTE: BUS 1301 and your FaceTime presentation are recorded each day and posted on the course's Blackboard website. This means that your talk is "for the record" so please prepare and present accordingly. If you wish your comments to be excluded from the class recording, please notify me after class. I will edit the file and remove your portion.
