Servant Leadership Events
Lead Like Jesus: Servant Leadership in Central Texas
As a follow-up to Ken Blanchard's Lead Like Jesus luncheon in October of 2006, Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business and the Servant Leadership Institute of Central Texas are co-sponsoring a workshop on April 5 from 11:00am – 3:30pm. The purpose of this workshop is to bring together likeminded current and future community and business leaders to discuss how the principles of servant leadership as demonstrated by Jesus Christ can apply to leadership in today's organizations. The workshop will be a combination of featured speakers and discussion activities.
A theme to guide us comes from Philippians chapter 3, where we are encouraged to "forget what is behind and strain towards what is ahead™pressing on towards the goal." It is from this humble recognition of our failures and inadequacies combined with our common aspiration of being Christ-like leaders that the following servant leaders "in progress" will speak to issues of applying servant leadership at work.
