Angel-Funded Online Innovator BizGreet

Baylor Angel Network (BAN) student analysts and angels have come to know Austin-based technology company BizGreet as a shining example of what Baylor Angel Network investing is all about. BAN is an investor network providing early stage capital and other assistance to experienced entrepreneurs with developed business plans, complete products, and early revenue. Mat Harris, co-founder and CEO of innovative online marketing company BizGreet, received his BBA in Marketing and Broadcasting, as well as his MBA from Baylor University. Prior to launching BizGreet in 2008, Mat previously co-founded Austin marketing communications firm Good Goliath.

In 2009, when BizGreet sought funding from the Baylor Angel Network in order to grow its business further, they had already worked with more than a dozen companies to deliver personalized web video ads and powerful ROI-tracking analytics. At the time, BizGreet's client roster included such notables as the Rick Perry for Governor Campaign, Business Bank of Texas, First Crush Tastings and The Round Rock Express baseball team, a Triple-A affiliate of the American League champion Texas Rangers.

In the last two years clients and brands demanding more creativity, more accountability, more video, and more social have been seeking out BizGreet to fill those needs. BizGreet's customized video ads enjoy a 20% clickthrough rate server wide, a major improvement over industry average clickthrough rates in the single digits. The result is satisfied clients, healthy growth for BizGreet, pleased investors, and invaluable experience for Baylor student analysts.
