ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF ECONOMICS 

The Department of Economics at Baylor University invites applications for two tenure track positions at the Assistant Professor level, beginning in the Fall semester of 2012. The anticipated teaching load is four courses per year. 

REQUIREMENTS:

The committee will consider high quality candidates in all fields; teaching needs include macroeconomics and history of thought. Candidates should demonstrate strong potential for excellence in teaching and scholarly research. A Ph.D. is required, though ABD with a firm completion date by August 2012 will also be considered.

LECTURER OF ECONOMICS

The Department of Economics at Baylor University invites applications for a non-tenure-track position as lecturer, beginning in the Fall semester of 2012. The anticipated teaching load is six to eight courses per year, predominantly at the principles level. This is a full-time, permanent position.

REQUIREMENTS:

The position requires either a Ph.D. or master's degree in economics. Substantial professional experience is required for master's degree candidates and is desirable for Ph.D. candidates. The committee will consider high quality candidates in all fields. Preferred teaching fields include macroeconomics and history of economic thought. Candidates should demonstrate strong potential for excellence in teaching, and some scholarly research will be expected.
