Economics Faculty Openings

The Department of Economics at Baylor University invites applications for four faculty positions, all of which will begin in Fall 2015. All of these are permanent positions and three are tenure-track. See the application procedures below, following the position descriptions.

SENIOR SCHOLAR IN HEALTH ECONOMICS 

A senior tenure-track position in Health Economics is offered jointly by the Department of Economics and the Robbins Institute for Health Policy and Leadership  Requirements include a Ph.D. in economics, a distinguished record of scholarly research, and a commitment to excellent teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels. INTERNATIONAL ECONOMICS: ALL LEVELS 

A tenure-track position in International Economics is open to applicants at the assistant to full professor level.  A Ph.D. in economics is required, but ABD candidates with a firm completion date by August 2015 will be considered for an assistant professor-level appointment.  Candidates should possess a distinguished record of or demonstrate strong potential for excellence in teaching and scholarly research.  This is an Economics position, but the candidate will also have access to the resources of the McBride Center for International Business.

MACROECONOMICS: ALL LEVELS 

A tenure-track position in Macroeconomics and related fields is open to applicants at the assistant to full professor level.  A Ph.D. in economics is required, but ABD candidates with a firm completion date by August 2015 will be considered for an assistant professor-level appointment.  Candidates should possess a distinguished record of or demonstrate strong potential for excellence in teaching and scholarly research.

LECTURER OF HEALTH ECONOMICS

The Department of Economics and the Robbins Institute for Health Policy and Leadership at Baylor University invites applications for a non-tenure-track lecturer or clinical professor in Health Economics. The candidate must demonstrate strong potential for excellence in teaching. This is a full-time, permanent position, requiring a PhD or master’s degree in economics. Substantial professional experience is required for master’s degree candidates.
