Economics Faculty Openings
The Department of Economics at Baylor University invites applications for four faculty positions, all of which will begin in Fall 2014. All of these are permanent positions and three are tenure-track. See the application procedures below, following the position descriptions.
SENIOR SCHOLAR IN HEALTH ECONOMICS
A senior tenure-track position in Health Economics is offered jointly by the Department of Economics and the Robbins Institute for Health Policy and Leadership A Ph.D. in economics and a distinguished record of scholarly research are required.
INTERNATIONAL ECONOMICS: ALL LEVELS
A tenure-track position in International Trade Theory and Policy is open to applicants at the assistant to full professor level. A Ph.D. in economics is required, but ABD candidates with a firm completion date by August 2014 will be considered for an assistant professor-level appointment. This is an Economics position, but the candidate will also have access to the resources of the McBride Center for International Business.
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF ECONOMICS
A tenure-track position at the assistant professor level is open to applicants from all fields of specialization. A Ph.D. in economics is required, but ABD candidates with a firm completion date by August 2014 will be considered.
LECTURER OF ECONOMICS
A non-tenure-track position as a lecturer or clinical professor is open to applicants from all fields of specialization, but the candidate must demonstrate strong potential for excellence in teaching, particularly in the principles of micro- and macroeconomics. Some scholarly research will be expected and supported. This is a full-time, permanent position, requiring a PhD or master’s degree in economics. Substantial professional experience is required for master’s degree candidates.
